Most Common Motocross Injuries

Motocross was reinforced from motorcycle competitions in the early 1900s in the UK. These off-road motorcycle races take place on closed circuits and usually comprised many jumps.

Almost all (95%) motocross riders are experiencing an injury at some point in their careers. Injuries have been more ordinary as a direct result of freestyle motocross where tricks and stunts are prevalent, but all involvement in motocross bears with it a certain level of risk.

Broken Collarbone

Is a fairly frequent injury outside of motocross. When a rider falls from their bike, their first reaction is to attempt to break their fall with their outstretched arms. Falling at high-speed ways that their arms experience a large force, which can cause injury to the collarbone.

Rehab Times

The most of the collarbone breaks will be treated with a splint and a sling, which will need to be worn at all times for somewhere between 4 and 8 weeks. In multiplex cases, surgery may be required. Under the guidance of a physiotherapist, exercises will be cautiously introduced in order to recover full movement within the shoulder. When a movement has been recaptured, strengthening exercises will then be initiated.

arm pump

 Arm Pump

Medically known as chronic exertional compartment syndrome (CECS), is a disorder that can affect many types of athletes. Most commonly affected are motocross racers. Arm pump causes burning, severe pain, cramping, numbness, weakness, and other symptoms that can make riding difficult and dangerous. While non-surgical treatment can be helpful for many, this approach requires rest and behavior modifications that may not be a suitable option for professional athletes.

A magnetic therapy method can be useful for the treatment and prevention of painful joint or muscle conditions, ideally using magnets at two or more body locations and preferably using a combination of at least one band magnet can help to circulate the blood flow. Arm pump surgery is not for everyone. If you believe you have arm pump or you are experiencing pain in your forearm, it is still better to know what are the best treatment or just simply wear magnetic wristbands to defeat arm pump.
